Support Organisations If you are a Voluntary or Community Group, or a not for profit organisation, we are keen to help you find volunteers and invite you to register with us.  It's FREE!  We will then actively market your opportunities to potential volunteers.   We will: *  Promote them on the national volunteering database www.do-it.org.uk *  Promote them in our office for all potential volunteers to see *  Feature a selection of opportunities in our twice yearly newsletter for volunteers *  Feature different opportunities in our weekly Helping Hands column in the local newspaper and on     our website In addition we offer advice, support and guidance on a number of volunteering issues including policies, inductions, how to attract and keep volunteers etc.   You may be looking for volunteers to help regularly, or for a one-off event; we aim to help fill all your vacancies. Volunteers expect organisations to: *  Agree the task - preferably with a simple job description *  Arrange for an induction for them, to include who they are responsible to and health and safety     procedures *  Practice equal opportunities, and not discriminate on any grounds *  Have appropriate insurance to cover them *  Offer support and supervision *  Reimburse out of pocket expenses *  Ensure the volunteering is enjoyable
