Volunteering Opportunity of the Week (3 March) - WellChild WellChild is the national charity for sick children, helping them and their families to manage the consequences of serious illness and complex health conditions through a programme of care, support and research. WellChild relies on kind-hearted members of the public to give it a helping hand at the many events it is involved with to raise funds to help sick children.  The next big event is the London Marathon on Sunday 25 April 2010 where the charity is looking for volunteers to cheer on their 250 runners as they pound the streets of London. All the runners really appreciate the support they get from “cheer points”, so why not enjoy a day out in the big smoke and help to create a special atmosphere for those people who are doing the hardest part - the running.
